The U.S. project required a 12oz white-kraft flat-bottom pouch following a compostable packaging direction. A PLA degassing valve, pocket zipper and gravure artwork were specified for the finished coffee bag.
A White Kraft Paper / PLA (PLA+PBAT) structure of approximately 140 microns was converted into an 11.9 × 22 + 7.9 cm flat-bottom pouch. The 12oz format incorporates the confirmed PLA valve and pocket zipper.
Gravure printing was used for the artwork on the white-kraft, PLA-based construction. Production then formed the flat-bottom pouch and fitted the pocket zipper and PLA one-way degassing valve.
