How We Narrow Down the Material

The material is selected as part of the complete coffee bag specification, not as an isolated layer.

Coffee & distribution
Product, packing process and distribution conditions shape the required structure.
Bag format & features
Bag style, valve and closure must work with the complete laminate.
Artwork & printing
Printing method and surface requirements are reviewed with the outer material.
Destination market
Recyclability or compostability claims depend on the complete package and local systems.

PRINTING CAPABILITIES

Digital vs Gravure Printing

HP Indigo 25K Digital Press

Digital Printing

  • Suitable for projects needing artwork flexibility
  • Useful for multiple designs, launches or SKUs
  • Avoids gravure cylinder setup

UP TO 10 COLORS

Gravure Printing

  • Suitable for production-oriented projects and repeat production
  • Useful for stable, established artwork
  • Supports detailed custom printing

The final choice depends on quantity, artwork, material structure, bag format, finishing compatibility and the complete project requirements.

ONE-WAY VALVE FUNCTION

What a Coffee Degassing Valve Does

Roasted coffee can continue to release gas after roasting. A one-way degassing valve is designed to allow that gas to exit while limiting outside air entry through the valve.

The valve is reviewed with the coffee, material structure, bag format, closure and packing process.

Valve Options & Bag Compatibility

A valve can be considered across the main coffee bag formats, but not every valve and closure combination suits every structure or pouch design.

CLOSURE DIRECTIONS

Coffee Bag Closure Options

Closure selection depends on the bag format, material, valve and intended opening method.

Standard zipper
A familiar resealable option for stand-up pouches and flat-bottom bags.
Pocket zipper
A selected flat-bottom configuration that integrates the zipper beneath a defined opening area.
Side zipper
A side-opening configuration used in selected flat-bottom projects and coordinated with the panel layout.
Pull-tab zipper
A pull-tab opening can provide access to a resealable side zipper beneath it.
No resealable zipper
Some projects are heat-sealed without a resealable zipper and may still use a degassing valve.

SURFACE DIRECTIONS

Coffee Bag Finish Options

Each effect is reviewed with the artwork, printing method, material and complete bag specification.

Matte Varnish
A low-shine visual direction planned with the printed artwork and surface specification.
Gloss Lamination
A laminated surface with a more reflective appearance.
Soft Touch Film
A tactile film direction that must be reviewed with the material and print construction.
Spot UV
A selected gloss treatment used to emphasize specific areas of the artwork.
Foil Stamping
A metallic accent applied to planned artwork areas in compatible project specifications.
Holographic
A decorative reflective effect that requires coordinated artwork and production planning.
