Coffee Bag Closure FAQs

What zipper options are available for coffee bags?

Available options include standard, pocket, side and pull-tab zipper configurations, as well as bags without a resealable zipper. Availability depends on the bag format and complete specification.

What is a pocket zipper?

A pocket zipper is positioned beneath a tear-away or opening area in selected flat-bottom pouch designs. Its placement and opening sequence must be coordinated with the bag construction and artwork.

What is the difference between side zipper and standard zipper?

A standard zipper is generally arranged across the upper pouch area, while a side zipper is integrated into a side-opening configuration. The right option depends on the intended opening experience and bag construction.

Can a coffee bag have both a zipper and degassing valve?

Yes. A coffee bag can combine a zipper and one-way degassing valve. Their positions must be reviewed together with the artwork, seal areas and finished bag dimensions.

Does every coffee bag need a zipper?

No. Some projects are heat-sealed without a resealable zipper and may still use a degassing valve. The choice depends on how the bag will be filled, sealed, opened and used after opening.

What information do you need to recommend a closure?

Please share the bag style, product, fill weight, material direction, valve requirement, artwork and the opening or resealing experience you want to create.
